§ 46.2-1187.1 Right of entry
Whenever it is necessary for the purposes of this article, the Executive Director or his duly authorized agent or employee at reasonable times may enter any establishment or upon any public or private property to obtain information or conduct surveys, audits, or investigations.
History
This law was first created in 1991. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 531 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1991 “Acts” aren’t available online.
