§ 23.1-2901 State Board for Community Colleges established; purpose; Virginia Community College System
The State Board for Community Colleges is a corporation under the style of “the State Board for Community Colleges” that shall establish, control, and administer a statewide system of publicly supported comprehensive community colleges, which shall be known as the Virginia Community College System.
History
This law was first created in 1966. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 679 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1966 “Acts” aren’t available online. It has been modified 6 times. Those modifications are cataloged by “The Acts of Assembly,” a state publication, by year and chapter.
