§ 32.1-126.2 Fire suppression systems required in nursing facilities and nursing homes

After January 1, 1993, the Commissioner shall not issue a license to or renew the license of any nursing facility or nursing home, regardless of when such institution was constructed, unless the nursing facility or nursing home is equipped with a fire suppression system which complies with the regulations of the Board of Housing and Community Development. History

This law was first created in 1990. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 804 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1990 “Acts” aren’t available online.

1990, c. 804.
