§ 51.1-1203 Definitions
For purposes of this chapter, unless the context requires a different meaning: “Creditable service” means service as an eligible volunteer plus any service credited pursuant to § 51.1-1207. “Eligible volunteer” means any volunteer emergency medical services personnel or any volunteer firefighter who is a member of a bona fide volunteer emergency medical services agency or volunteer fire department and who is otherwise eligible pursuant to the criteria established by the Board. “Member” means an eligible volunteer.
