§ 63.2-1501 Definitions
As used in this chapter unless the context requires a different meaning: “Court” means the juvenile and domestic relations district court of the county or city. “Prevention” means efforts that (i) promote health and competence in people and (ii) create, promote and strengthen environments that nurture people in their development.
History
This law was first created in 1975. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 341 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1975 “Acts” aren’t available online. It has been modified 6 times. Those modifications are cataloged by “The Acts of Assembly,” a state publication, by year and chapter.
