§ 8.01-581.05 Representation by attorney
A party has the right to be represented by an attorney at any proceeding or hearing under this article. A waiver thereof prior to the proceeding or hearing is ineffective.
History
This law was first created in 1986. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 614 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1986 “Acts” aren’t available online.
